“Plum Orchard lake is a wildlife management area open to hunting. fishing There are two camp grounds. I believe there is Dog wood Ridge and Beech bottom camp grounds, Only the east side of the lake and part of the north shore is accessible by car. The other side of the lake you have to walk. or take a row boat that hey rent. or your own boat. There are three boat launches. I believe this area is one of the most versatile in mycological distribution. Also there are white pines Oak, hickory Eastern Hemlock, maples ,Bass wood, Tulip ash, birch and Beech in the area.” —Eddee
