Notes:

Los Trancos Open Space Preserve, Palo Alto, CA.

This is a mixed forest of mostly native hardwood trees for the mid-peninsula region of the San Francisco Bay area. Most of the forest is dominated by coastal live oak, and California bay, but areas contain significant amounts of valley oak, black oak, and madrone, and one notable area which is dominated by big leaf maple. There are few conifirs in the preserve, and seem to all be Douglas fir, and are found only sporaticly, only in one area where there are five close by can assumption possible be made about fungus preferring conifirs.
