Comment on Amanita sp. Pers. (8151)

Created: 2008-06-29 06:22:05

By: Herbert Baker (Herbert Baker)

Summary: yes

Comment: Thanks,
Growing under oak, cap light brown, becoming darker ocherous brown with age, smooth, margin 25% distinctly striate, center slightly darker. gills cream-pallid, free, spore print white, stipe hollow, lightly stuffed, brittle, no annulus present, tapering from the non bulbous base, with a slight flare at the apex.
No volva sac apparent, looks like an Amanita in the Vaginatae section.
