Notes: Fruiting alone on a lawn. No yellowing anywhere and no odor. Pileus very smooth, satiny with a slightly depressed umbo. Mild scaling at margin and fibrous. Greyish tan at umbo, slightly darker at margins. 9cm across. Gills are free, chocolate brown, mottled, thin, close. Stipe shiny, narrower at base, with a slight nob. 1.3cm at apex, 8.5cm tall. Annulus is very thin, skirt-like.

…who needs help differentiating seemingly easy mushrooms, is this A. californicus because of the lack of yellow staining? Anything else?
