Observation: Nolanea sp. (8483)
|
When: 2008-07-12
Collection location:
Lago Agrio, Ecuador [Click for map]
Who:
Danny Newman (newmy51)
No herbarium specimen
Notes: Collected at an Amazon Mycorenewal Project test site in Lago Agrio. Specimen more than likely in direct contact with petrochemicals given its extreme proximity to the adjacent oil pit and the tendency for wide radial distribution of the crude outside the pit itself. Specimen was collected approximately 5-10 meters up from the liquid pit beneath the surrounding trees among the leaf litter.

Summary: .
Did you make a spore print, or observe what colour the spores were?? Looking close, they might be pink… maybe an Entoloma or Nolanea?
Perhaps the spores are light brown, I’m not sure. I’ll tentatively suggest Nolanea.
