Notes: Fruiting in a lawn. Mature one is 11cm across, stipe 1.1cm at apex and 10.5cm tall. Pileus instantly stains yellow when rubbed. Color disappears almost as instantly. Base also stains then turns brownish. Base when cut open smells phenolic and, on the mature specimen, bruises bright yellow. Gills on button were pale gray/tan when first exposed, becoming tan within an hour.
