Species Lists:
Mushrooms of Edgewood Blue (46)
Notes: small mycena, gregarious on rotting conifer logs, quite common for the past few weeks
ST: smooth, not viscid, 5-60×1mm or so, fragile, exudes clear liquid at base when squeezed
CAP: ~10-20 mm wide, conical, delicate, smooth, brown, translucent striate, fading a bit in center or darkening around margin or both
GILL: whitish, slightly decurrent
SPORE: print white
The specimen in the photo (taken May 14th) is unusual in the brown discoloration (from touching the log??), I haven’t seen that again. Generally they are more watery-looking. I took a spore print from that one, though, and it was indeed white, so it wasn’t a Galerina for example.
