Notes: Unknown Lactarius here. The lactations are white, and do not stain the gills. The cap color is like L. argillaceifolius, but the size is too small, and the gills don’t stain. There is some suggestions for this in Arora, plus in discussion with Dimitar it might also be L. kauffmanii maybe?

Summary: Lactarius kaufmanii
L. kaufmanii should have a shallow scrobiculated stipe, but your photo looks like a good fit for all of the other characters.
