Summary: Likely to be Penicillium

Yes, it was most likely a Penicillium sp, but since it was NOT checked under a microscope, there is no way to tell for positive from the photo.

Summary: I’d guess Penicillium

Wasn’t it Penicillium that was first found on oranges? But if not, I’d have to agree with Tom: definately orange peel fungus.
