Notes: Growing on rock at the top of Shephard Point, top of Larch Mountain, Multnomah Co., OR. Can’t tell what kind of rock this is, it has been so overgrown with lichens that the original light gray color is now nondescript. The lichens for the observation are the black pillow-shaped forms, rather tiny (less than 2mm across), but interesting because of their completely different form/shape than anything I have photographed to date.

But I haven’t had a chance to study my specimen yet, so I have no clue what it may be. A quick flip through Brodo didn’t turn up any obvious candidates, either. Problem is: how do you get a sample of this thing?!
